Lovely image of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus from an antique Romanian prayer card. Beautiful, soft, and ephemeral. Paired with a freshwater pearl on sterling pinning. Porcelain image encased in Sterling silver. Back is fully enclosed in Sterling to keep dirt and debris out. We don't scrimp on silver! We captured the image from an antique French prayer card in our collection and created this custom china. Rendered in minerals and fired onto the porcelain at 1500+ degrees. Permanently embedded in the glaze like all china is done.
